GMP RAINOUT POLICY

We at Gresham Motorsports Park make every attempt to provide the best show for your entertainment dollar. Between officials, management, and media, hundreds of hours are put into each event. With this in mind, rest assured that we share your frustration in the event of inclement weather.

While many people in other parts of Georgia and the surrounding states that enjoy racing at Gresham Motorsports Park may see dark clouds and rainy conditions, there still may be racing at GMP. However, it is up to the discretion of GMP officials to declare the races cancelled. If you are curious about the status of racing on an event day please check the updated event information on our website, or you may call the GMP office at (706) 367-9461. Please listen to the entire recording regarding the race conditions and the latest information.

We at Gresham Motorsports Park are dedicated to the safety of the participants and fans. When lightning or wind is present, please return to the safety of your vehicle and tune in to 106.9 FM or our website for the latest updates from our announcers and officials.

GMP will do everything within its power to attempt to dry the track to continue an event. In the situations where the race must be cancelled, please retain your ticket stub. Paid tickets may be used at the GMP box office for a future event of equal or lesser value, not including special events. All racers and crew members will need to remain on premise and keep their wristbands on until further instructions are given by GMP officials.

A race will ONLY be cancelled due to rain when GMP officials determine that the track cannot be dried in time to continue racing. When weather interferes to this extent, GMP officials will declare the races cancelled. In some circumstances, the weather may clear up close to opening times, but keep in mind that several hours of practice and qualifying have already been lost due to weather.

An event may be considered completed at the halfway point of an event. In the case that GMP officials decide to call the event as complete, rain checks will not be given. In the case that GMP officials decide to delay the race for a short time and continue racing the same night, rain checks will not be given.

We understand that some fans do not arrive early enough to see all qualifying and feature events. To those of you who fall into this category, we would like to take the opportunity to remind you to check the schedule page for gate and trackside opening times.

You are welcome to arrive as late or as early as is convenient for you, however in the event of a rainout, please understand that we cannot issue rain checks based on the time you chose to arrive or leave.

All sales are final. No refunds. GMP is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets.
