2012 Beau Slocumb Memorial To Take Place on April 7th And the 2012 World Crown 300 on July 4th

January 25, 2012 – Gresham Motorsports Park announces today that that the Beau Slocumb Memorial Presented by US Auto Sales will take place on April 6-7, 2012, and the 29th-Annual World Crown 300 will take place on July 3-4, 2012.

The 2nd-Annual Beau Slocumb Memorial Presented by US Auto Sales will open up the 2012 race season on April 6th and 7th with Pro Late Models, Outlaw Late Models, Trucks, Sportsman, Renegades and Mini Stocks.

GMP Truck Series Tires Change For 2012

January 5, 2012 – Gresham Motorsports Park and Hoosier announce that there will be a change made in the left tires in the truck series only for all 2012 GMP races.

Hoosier Racing tires didn’t waste any time getting to GMP after the holidays to test tires for the 2012 race season. Tires were put to the track early Monday morning and testing did not wrap up until GMP and Hoosier had come to a conclusion. For the 2012 race season, the right tire will remain the same, the Star F75, but the left F75 will now be replaced by the F53. The size of the F53 is 8.0/27.0-15.

GMP Updates and Holiday Hours

December 16, 2011 – The 2011 race season is over and Gresham Motorsports Park is pushing forward and gearing up for 2012. With so much ahead for the next race season, GMP is dedicated to keeping fans updated as much as possible.

The 2012 rules have been posted on GMP’s website, along with a detailed 2012 race schedule. Unreserved trackside parking spaces are available for purchase now and any reserved trackside spaces that have not been renewed by March 31, 2012, will be open for anyone to purchase.

Reserve Your GMP Trackside Parking Spot Today!

December 12, 2011 – Gresham Motorsports Park announces today that unreserved 2012 trackside parking spots are now available for just $300! After March 31, 2012, any existing, reserved annual parking that has not been renewed, will then be offered for sale to the general public for $300. With Christmas around the corner, fans can buy loved ones a gift for the entire 2012 race season.

The annual trackside parking pass includes all scheduled races for 2012, plus any additional races that may be scheduled later in the year and all three days of the 29th-Annual World Crown Weekend. ... Read more...

GMP RELEASES 2012 RACE SCHEDULE

December 8, 2011 – Gresham Motorsports Park is excited to announce that the tentative 2012 race schedule for Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, Outlaw Late Models, Trucks, Renegades and Mini-Stocks has been released. With another full year of action-packed racing ahead, GMP is looking forward to a great race season.

The NASCAR K-N Pro Series East will return on June 9th and the CRA Super Series will also return on September 15th. The GMP race season wouldn’t be complete without the World Crown Weekend, which is scheduled in November.

SUPERS, PROS AND OUTLAWS RUN ON SAME HOOSIER COMPOUND TIRES AT GMP IN 2012

December 7, 2011 – Gresham Motorsports Park and Hoosier Racing Tires announces that there will not be a tire compound change for 2012 due to the fact that the F45 and the Star F56 have worked so well since the track renovation in 2009. This tire combination was designed specifically for GMP’s Super, Pro and Outlaw Late Models and has proven to be the most consistent and the most economical tire that has competed at GMP.

GMP Will Release 2012 Race Schedule And Trackside Details SOON!

November 24nd, 2011 – With another successful race season in the rearview mirror, Gresham Motorsports Park is looking forward to 2012! Another action-packed race season will be here before we know it and GMP is excited for what is ahead!

The 2012 season schedule at GMP has not been determined yet and details are still being discussed. The 2012 race schedule will be posted as soon as possible.

2011 GMP Points Champions Make Their Mark

November 22nd, 2011 – On Sunday, November 13, GMP celebrated at the Rheem World Crown with 2011 points Champion drivers, all Georgia natives, as they were acknowledged during the opening ceremonies. The drivers that finished first in points this season included, Russell Fleeman, Matthew Wragg, Brandon Jones, Mike Childers and Steve Hill.

28th-Rheem World Crown Weekend Tops the Charts for GMP

November 14th, 2011 – Gresham Motorsports Park was the place to be this past weekend. With three full nights of competitive racing action, awesome prizes and give aways for fans and great food, the 28th-Annual Rheem World Crown Weekend will be remembered for years to come.

Friday night, Cody Haskins took the checkered flag and the custom-made trophy, created by Barkley Wike Iron Designs, in the Rheem 75 Truck race. Brian Sosebee and Mason Elzey also celebrated victories of their own after winning the Sportsman and Mini Cup races.

Wisconsin’s Chris Wimmer Claims the 28th Annual Rheem World Crown 300 Victory at Gresham

November 13th, 2011 – For the first time this century, a non-Georgia native has won the 28th Annual Rheem World Crown 300 at Gresham Motorsports Park. On Sunday, November 13th, Chris Wimmer, who hails from Wisconsin, was on point at the end of the first two segments of the 200-lap event, taking the checkered flag first by over Ross Kenseth and Chase Elliott.
